In this session, we will discuss performance optimization within the Drupal platform. We will survey a wide spectrum of performance-related issues that various stakeholders involved in a Drupal website might confront - from end-users to the marketing team, coders, etc... In addition, we'll overview a variety of solutions aimed at addressing these challenges.

In the subsequent section, we'll highlight several tools designed for code and project benchmarking, and illustrate their application to benchmark Drupal core. This exploration will catalyze a conversation about how to interpret your results and identify strategic leverage points for your project.

In the concluding phase, we'll bring code examples of out-of-the-box thinking solutions, and deliberate on the common trade-of balancing performance over maintainability and configurability: a dilemma you may frequently encounter.
